SpyNet® Video Touch Watch has possible malware infection.

A piece of malware has been detected on toy SpyNet® Video Touch Watches from JAKKS Pacific, Inc., and as a precautionary measure, JAKKS is voluntarily informing customers about the matter.

The product is no longer sold in BR and TOYS”R”US stores in the Nordics.

The malware will not infect computers with the newer versions of Windows 7, 8 and 10, or other operating systems such as Linux or MacOS.

The malware in question is an older virus that is only capable of infecting computers with older versions of Windows, most prominently Windows XP.

Consumers bought approximately 6.500 watches in the Nordic countries since October 2016, primarily from BR and TOYS”R”US.

You also may return the product back to the store where it was bought and obtain a refund.
