TOP-TOY is part of a dynamic and constantly changing retail market, and in this market we need a business which is extremely agile, competitive, and efficient.
We have evaluated our organisation and have concluded that our current setup is in need of adjustment; an adjustment which regrettably includes reducing the number of employees.
Consequently, on Thursday August 24 we unfortunately had to say goodbye to approximately 50 employees across office locations, after having completed negotiations with employee representatives. This morning, August 25 we held a staff meeting for all TOP-TOY office employees, where more details about the organisational change were shared.
TOP-TOY employs 2,200 people and run 310 BR and TOYS”R”US stores and accompanying webshops across the Nordics and in Germany.
Employees working in our stores and warehouse have not been affected by the organisational changes.
Having to say goodbye to employees who committedly and loyally have helped drive the business forward is certainly not easy.
We sincerely want to thank all the affected employees for their dedication and contribution over the years and we wish them the best in the future.
